Searching for recruiting agencies in the field of Emergency Management
I'm trying to find some recruiting agencies that work specifically in the field of Emergency Management. Can anyone provide me with some names of agencies or recruiters that you have worked with in the past and who you found to be reliable, professional and specialized in this field?
Thanks for your help,
Lynn

I hope we get some responses to your question Lynn, not just to help you but because I think this will be very valuable information for other emergency managers to have. I sent a Tweet looking for information and will continue to promote this blog.
Unfortunately my personal experience is using agencies, to fill positions not to find work, has not been good. After providing the agencies with a criteria which candidates had to meet, they persisted in presenting me with candidates which clearly did not meet the criteria. I concluded that since agency management could not hire competent employees themselves, they clearly would not be able to meet their client's expectations.
Just a further thought on Lyn's question. If we can get enough folks in the emergency management field using this blog there should not be any need to use, or incur the cost of using an agency.
Please put the word out through your regular and social media communication channels to see if we can get more employment opportunities and jobs wanted here.
I have not used any recruiting agencies other than sending postings to Universities and Colleges and professional association websites/email blasts.

Thanks for your comments. Were you successful in using the services you mentioned?
I have had good success in recruiting students and graduates for field placements and summer paid positions using these methods. Both education institutions and professional associations forward the postings on to their students and members and I have a good sized pool of candidates from which to draw upon. This method also ensures that qualified people are applying for the positions.
Thanks for your feedback Sharon.
Happy New Year to you and your loved ones!
