Job Summary:
Operational Risk Management supports a comprehensive and integrated program designed to identify, measure, assess, report and monitor operational risk exposures facing ING DIRECT. The main area of responsibility for the Senior Analyst, Operational Risk Management is to provide assistance to the ORM Manager with the support of the business continuity program and key control testing. This includes working with and reporting to key internal stakeholders including both the executive team and Head Office.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Manager, Operational Risk in managing, testing and refining the business continuity program across ING Direct Canada
• Support the implementation of Operational Risk policies, standards, guidelines and processes that help in identifying, assessing, measuring and monitoring non-financial risk exposure.
• Support the company's business continuity program based on accepted industry best practices and ING Group policies and standards
• Coordinate the execution of the business continuity program exercises to ensure business preparedness in the event of a disruption
• Assist in the ongoing analysis, documentation and testing of the key financial and non financial controls within functional areas.
• Conduct risk assessments in conjunction with the business and other key stakeholders, and follow up on action plans / recommendations
• Develop and deliver presentations and other media aimed at increasing a risk awareness culture.
• Keep up to date with industry developments to ensure a leading business continuity program.

• Working knowledge of financial markets products

Experience:

• Experience in communicating results and recommendations to various levels of theBank
• Experience in operational risk management including BCP

Qualifications:

• Completion of a business related post-secondary degree
• Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) or equivalent preferred
• 2+ years Operational Risk experience
• 3+ years of related Financial Institution experience with strong knowledge of processes, risks and controls and/or compliance related role is an asset
