PTSC-Online is working in cooperation with the Canadian Red Cross to evaluate the use of on line networking to support developing and maintaining a Red Cross Community Disaster Management Team. The concept is to use a PTSC-Online group space, which is a sub community within PTSC-Online, to support the development and operation of the team. The Canadian Red Cross and other volunteer organizations which support emergency management programs can use the PTSC-Online events calendar to announce upcoming events, the PTSC-Onine wiki knowledge base to list resources such as documents or web links that may be of interest to other responders and use appropriate blog channels or discussion forums to share best practices or ask questions about implementing emergency management programs.
