How PTSC-Online Works
The PTSC-Online mission is to support continuous improvement of Canadian emergency management, business continuity and critical infrastructure protection programs by providing tools for on line information sharing and collaboration. Some of those key tools are described below.
The PTSC-Online vision is to be the virtual on line community of choice for Canadian emergency management, business continuity and critical infrastructure protection professionals for the purpose of networking, communication and collaboration on emergency management related matters. PTSC-Online collaborates with and supports other organizations which have similar goals and objectives.

The PTSC-Online knowledge base is similar to Wikipedia. It is a place where members can collect and share information about emergency management. In keeping with PTSC-Online's focus on emergency management standards, accreditation and collaboration on emergency management issues, we believe our knowledge base will focus on similar topics.

A What's New section makes it easy for PTSC-Online members to quickly find out what has been happening since their last visit to the community. This section highlights blog, discussion group and wiki activity activities and identifies the members who have been contributing to PTSC-Online.
Jointly Sponsored Projects
When PTSC-Online members agree on the need for a project to develop a product or service that will benefit emergency management in general, PTSC-Online collaboration tools may be used to help scope and manage the project. PTSC-Online can also manage the project funding if required.
Links to Professional Networking and Social Media
To raise the visibility of PTSC-Online, to facilitate networking with other professional networking forums and to help share emergency management information with members of the public PTSC-Online is linked to several professional and social networking sites.
