The purpose of the supplier blog is to provide a place for PTSC-Online members who are suppliers to talk about their products and services. As none of our suppliers have chosen to use the blog to date, I am adding a short article to set a good example. I hope you will find it informative as it is about the IGLOO community on which PTSC-Online is built.
Since most of our members and viewers are new to PTSC-Online and the IGLOO software platform on which it is built, I have chosen to feature that service in this article. Hopefully that will help you learn more about PTSC-Online and also how you can use IGLOO's service in your own emergency management / business continuity program or other business or personal application.
You may ask, why am I featuring a service provided by IGLOO Software? MacKay Emergency Management Consulting Inc. is an IGLOO partner and as such we can help you decide if and how an IGLOO on line community will meet your needs. We may also develop or assist you with developing your on line community.
One fact you may not know is that you or your organization can set up an IGLOO on line community for FREE. Free communities have most of the features you see in PTSC-Online, are easy to set up and manage and the main limitation is a maximum of 25 members. Depending on your application, a 25 member limit may be something you can easily live with, because an unlimited number of viewers can use an IGLOO community, only 25 can can participate in discussion groups etc. IGLOO has a number of templates for different purposes to make the task of setting up your community easier.
